On April 16, 2015, I was given the opportunity to showcase by Classic Gentlemen collection at The Fashion Movement's first ever men's fashion show. After having circulated the collection online for several months, it was a proud moment for me to showcase the actual framed prints. The reception was phenomenal! When the time came for the drawing to win one of the prints, the audience cheers as I introduced myself as the artist. They will never know how validating that was for me. It was such a surreal experience.
Two days later, at the Blogger's Ball, I donated three more pieces from the collection to raise money for the charity. Nekeshia and Lawrence Hammond, a lovely couple, took two of the pieces home, while chocolatier Viktoria Richards took the final piece home. All of them were #1 11x14 singed, numbered, and framed prints. Now, I only have one #1 left from that collection and only 41 total prints left in the series.
I can't wait to see pictures of where they are displaying my art. Knowing that for many years to come, these very special prints will be viewed and admired by countless family members, guests, and clients makes every moment of production and investment totally worth it.
Now, I'm looking forward to Files and Film on May 9. I will showcasing three of my pieces in a triptych I call "Unloving You." Come and see me!
